Anyways, I've had this around for about a week and haven't had the time to correctly color and post it... until today.
Sooooo ever wonder how any of my characters ever end up in size related situations? Probably because of this girl. The crystal she wears regulates and monitors her size adjustments, making sure they don't go haywire on her... though in this case I think she doesn't matter :U..... at all :U.... I like doing this face apparently :U
Here you have about 10 hours of me trying to get back in a SAI mood and this is the result... He climbed the mountain, found his Headphones and stylish new clothes made by Rina Sayuri (R.S.)
Characters (c) Me ______________________ Now bugger off~
In this piece, the artist creates a familiar scenario that many would consider as a little fan service. Though the artwork certainly has the purpose of pleasing the audience, it is also an example of the artist's goal of perfecting his craft and shedding some light on his favorite subjects.
The artist demonstrates aspects of his style that his audience would be acquainted with, such as the brush strokes used for the hair and the delightful humor found between his two subjects. The artist also creates a mesmerizing background of colors and shapes and a calming aura of light that nearly steals focus from the central theme of the artwork. The titular aura (no pun intended) reveals a supernatural quality of the female subject, opening the possibilities for future scenarios between her and her little paramour.
This is the third time that I've written a critique for this artist. Consistently, I've noticed that his style and technique shows improvement with every entry. I feel this is proof of his commitment to perfecting his style and bringing out the best in his subjects.
I really like the attention to detail put into the colors, the contrast especially between the blue and red really pop. You really show gray sense of value and depth making the characters really seem dimensional and of course your great use of brush tools make hair look....well, hairy X3
Definitely was a fan of the new outfit, I tried to model it in the gift piece but not sure how well it came out
The simplicity of the background with its overlap of multicolored brush strokes also compliments the piece nicely.
